Kathmandu : The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) has seen the highest amount of trading so far. The trading volume has reached the highest point due to the significant increase in the Nepse index on Sunday.

On Sunday, the Nepse index increased by 94.53 points to 2,860.91 points. This is an increase of 34%. A total of 6,321,323 shares of 330 companies were traded at Rs 25,777,954,559 after being bought and sold 275,27,707 times.

The sub-indicators of all groups have been seen green in Sunday’s trading. The largest increases were in the life insurance group, which increased by 4.55%, and the microfinance group, which increased by 4.40%. Banking was up by 3.55 per cent, development bank by 2.58 per cent, finance by 3.48 per cent, hotel and tourism by 0.90 per cent, hydropower by 3.93 per cent, investment by 4.12 per cent and manufacturing and processing group by 1.75 per cent. Mutual funds rose by 0.15 per cent, non-life insurance by 3.45 per cent, trading by 2.91 per cent and other groups by 2.51 per cent.

There is a positive circuit in the share price of 10 companies. National Hydropower Company Limited, Nerude Mirmirae Microfinance Financial Institution Limited, Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited, Khanikhola Hydropower Company Limited, Ankukhola Hydropower Company Limited, Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited, Shubham Power Limited, Atmanirbhar Lughfin Financial Institution Limited and Mid-Solu Hydropower Limited have seen an increase of 10 percent in their share price. Today, there is a negative circuit in the share price of Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower Limited.

Based on the amount of business, the highest turnover on Sunday was made by Himalayan Reinsurance Limited with a turnover of Rs1.52 billion, 2,47,370. Based on the number of shares traded, 24,51,686 shares of Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited have been sold.
