In the last fiscal year 2080/081, 38 people lost their lives in disaster-related incidents and millions were damaged.
Most people died by drowning in the pond in a year. District Police Spokesperson DSP Eliza Giri has said that 22 people including women, men and children have died and 8 people have been injured in 37 cases of drowning in the pond.
Similarly, 4 people died and 18 people were injured in 219 fire incidents. During the same period, 87 cattle died and 22 cattle were injured in the fire.
